In spite of medical and scientific advancements, these numbers are still rising, partly because incidence and progression of chronic diseases are driven by many factors - genetics, biology, behavior, as well as the environment
HealthSurveil is a health tech startup based in Texas, United States developing solutions for aging-related chronic disease prevention and early detection. Our unique focus is on measuring and mapping environmental exposures. Through data-driven risk assessment, we provide pathways for risk mitigation.
We are constantly surrounded and bombarded by various chemicals, pollutants and toxicants from our environments. Sources of exposures are non-occupational (air, water, soil as well as food stuff, consumer goods) and occupational. These exposures have significant effects on human health-cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, cancer, metabolic diseases, Alzheimer's disease related dementias and other aging-related chronic diseases. These exposures also have profound effects on planet health (flora, fauna, and ecosystems). Environmental exposures can also be nonchemical, they can be related to living conditions and socioeconomic status. Socioeconomically disadvantaged groups suffer the most from adverse environmental consequences. In spite of these emerging risks, most of us are unaware of the full extent of our exposures and what we can do about it to protect our health, and our surroundings.
Our solutions are uniquely based on 3 main components
Precision and integrative environmental health
Environmental exposure monitoring
Environmental recommendations for aging-related chronic disease risk mitigation
